Defense Holds, Offense Explodes Late at Enloe

Raleigh, NC - Broughton jumped out early tonight against rival Enloe taking a 3-1 lead.  Enloe would battle back to eventually tie the game at three early in the second half, and again at four.

A man up goal by senior Matt Underwood put the caps up for good at 6-4.  True to an rivalry Enloe wouldn't quit and scored early in the fourth to bring the game within one.

It was with about seven minutes to go that a flurry of goals by Broughton would put the game out of reach.  Five different players scored six goals in the last six minutes to put the game at it's final score of 12-5.

James Foster was solid again in goal preventing the Eagles from getting any closer than a tie.

The Caps return to action next Tuesday at 7:30 for the home opener against conference foe Holly Springs.
