Raleigh, NC - Wakefield jumped out early and never let up in a conference match up on Monday night. The home Wolverines jumped out to a quick 4-0 lead early in the first and never looked back. While the defense rallied to contain the Wolverine offense in settle situations, Wakefield used a fast-paced transition game to open the lead up further and take a 9-0 lead into the half.
The second half was a similar flow with Wakefield winning at the face off X and finishing opportunities in transition. The Caps would get on the bored in the fourth when Senior Max Miller assisted Sophomore Wilson Purcel for a man-up goal. Wakefield would score again to bring the score to it's final of 17-1.
The varsity plays again on Tuesday night when it hosts conference rival Enloe.
