The Broughton Boy’s Varsity Lacrosse season came to an end last Friday evening with a 10 – 7 loss to perennial power Chapel Hill in the first round of the state playoffs.  The game was  tied at halftime and close throughout.  Chapel Hill pulled away with a 4-goal stretch early in the 4^th quarter but our boy’s could not quite mount a sufficient comeback.  The boy’s finished with its best season on record for the CapsLax program ending at 11 wins and 5 losses.  While the team graduates 14 seniors, a core nucleus of the team’s key contributors are expected to return next season.  The foundational cornerstone is now set.  The Broughton Boy’s Lacrosse program promises to be one of the powers in Wake County lacrosse for the foreseeable future.
